Manufacturing Process Of Greaseproof Printed Paper

This is how we manufacture branded greaseproof paper sheets in our own factory.

1. Raw Material Selection

The process starts by choosing special woods like needle pulp board and bamboo pulp board. These woods give the paper strength and flexibility. We use FSC certified sourcing for this purpose.

2. Pulping and Beating

The chosen wood is turned into pulp which is also known as soft fibers. This pulp is then beaten very well to make the fibers small. This process also increases the density of the paper. It allows the paper to stop grease from passing through.

3. Sheet Formation

The thick beaten pulp is spread out to form a wet paper sheet on a screen. Sometimes we also spread them on wire mesh as well.

4. Pressing and Drying

The wet personalized greaseproof paper sheets are passed through strong rollers to squeeze out water and make the paper dense. Then it is dried carefully.

5. Supercalendering

The dried paper is pressed many times between very hard rollers. This makes the greaseproof paper rolls a smooth and shiny surface. Now in simple terms it means it does not let grease pass through easily.

6. Surface Treatment

These greaseproof kraft papers are coated with starch or other food-safe chemicals that fill any tiny holes and make the paper even better at resisting grease and oils. Sometimes we also apply a special coating of PE on them.

7. Printing

The paper goes through our advanced printing machines. We utilize top notch printing techniques to print your greaseproof paper sheets with logos. Our printing machines support all RGB, CMYK, and PMS colors. We offer full color printing as well. We use food safe inks like soy, vegetable, or water based inks to print them.

• Flexographic Printing: This technique utilizes flexible plates and water based inks. It is ideal for large volumes.
• Offset Printing: In offset printing the ink is transferred from metal plate to a rubber blanket then on paper. It is also suitable for bulk orders because this printing technique provides a consistent print.
• Digital Printing: Suitable for sampling purpose. It is very cost effective because in the printing technique the printer directly prints on to the paper.

8. Cutting
