10’’x10’’ Greaseproof paper is made up of cellulose based materials. They are specially designed to resist the penetration of grease, oil, and moisture. These paper sheets and rolls have an extra layer protection thanks to a special stain resistant treatment called greaseproof. They are completely safe for human health. They are mostly used to wrap foods. They can also be used as tray mats under fries, fishes, and other delicious yet fatty foods. Furthermore, they don't stick or tear when in contact with hot foods. There are many stages through which custom greaseproof paper has to go through before landing at your doorstep. At Wax Papers Hub we want to be transparent with our clients and that’s why we will be going to take a quick look at our manufacturing process.
Our paper begins with the selection of a wood pulp. After that the refinement process begins. Once the refinement is completed the pulp is then processed to create a sheet. This is done at a very low porosity and then it is passed through rollers. It is known as supercalendering. It is then treated with some chemicals to fill pores to make it fully grease resistant.
